Day 56 - Cherry Blossom

Stayed up far too late last night for any early golf this morning.

Instead, decided to start the process of getting the tax return sorted out. I have been using a piece of software called TaxCalc for a number of years now to submit our returns via the HMRC online system: it really works well and I can recommend it to anyone looking for something. That being said, my affairs are relatively vanilla so it may not work for everyone.

The weather outside was however too nice, so I did in fact give up and head off for a lazy 9 holes (ok, maybe not, a drink on the patio then), at the end of the day...

On the way out, I was stuck by how vibrant the cherry blossom was in front of the house. As you can see from the pics here, it's amazing how much difference a few days and some sunshine can make!

We have both our offspring home for dinner tonight, which will be great. Unfortunately my son want to eave early as he has an early morning train to Manchester, and my daughter will arrive late as she has a party in Kent to come from, so I hope that they actually get to see each other!

And I also hope that Messrs Rose and Casey are aware that I am relying on them to do well to help pay for drinks tomorrow night....
