Day 58 - Power to the People

Stuck at home all morning waiting for a visit from UK Power Networks. Called at 08:30 to find out what time to expect them: "any time between 09:30 and 11:30, but don't worry, they'll give you a call half an hour beforehand".  That's fine then.....

Clock hits 10:30, no sign of anyone. Call UKPN: "I'll find out what's happening, and someone will get back to you".

It's now 11:30 and no news.  Customer service is alive and well.  Finally, at 11:45, the phone goes: "I'll be there in 15 minutes". And he was and, within 10 minutes, he was gone again: green light for everything.  "I'll get the plans back to you this afternoon".

Now 21:30 and nothing yet. Ah well....

In between, managed to fit some time at Burhill: a monthly catch-up meeting with the General Manager (wonderful sitting outside on the patio, soaking in the rays...), then back there again for a handicap Committee meeting at 5 pm, followed by a Men's Committee at 7 pm.

Forecast for the morning is great: I'll be back there bright and early!
